About Me

Hi, I'm Giselle!
Born and raised in the Sassenheim, The Netherlands, I moved to the United States to pursue my running career in 2011 at Jacksonville State University, quickly transferring to the University of Utah the next year. While working through an injury in college, I became involved with a local high school track team in Salt Lake City, UT. I found my knowledge and experience to be an asset to others and quickly developed into a full time assistant coach. Here, I found my passion. Despite being a small school, our athletes placed at the UHSAA State Championships several years in a row. More rewarding, however, was seeing my athletes continue their development through both collegiate running careers as well as academic ones. Luckily, I’m able to continue coaching young athletes as the current head coach of Olympus High School’s track and field team. Throughout my career, I have coached a variety of athletes, each possessing their own unique challenges and goals. From coaching an athlete for an elite cross country 5k race, a client for a long distance trail running event, or a friend finish a 5k without walking, I am constantly inspired by my clients and excited to help others see the potential in themselves.
In addition to my one-on-one coaching, you can find me on Tuesdays as a rotating coach for the Salt Lake Track Club. If you’re local, this is a wonderful way to meet in person and find a like-minded running community!
